Slant Memorials

Slant Memorials are also placed at the “Head” of the grave. However, they have also been used at the foot end of the grave for marking the plot. Although generally only made of one piece of granite, they have a sharply cut beveled front and resemble a triangle when viewed from the side. Slant memorials can also be placed on an additional granite base if desired. The overall appearance is similar to an upright memorial, however but the overall heights are usually lower. The slant memorial when set and installed at the cemetery is placed on a separate concrete foundation, which provides a stable area for the memorial to set. The cement foundation’s depth should be to below the frost line for the area and also constructed for the area’s soil type and terrain.
